Ingredients

  • 2 3 ounce bags microwave kettle corn or plain popcorn
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 3 ounce box pink Peeps
  • 1 3 ounce box purple Peeps
  • 1 3 ounce box blue Peeps
  • 1 3 ounce box yellow Peeps

Instructions

  • Pop your microwave kettle corn according to the instructions, or use your favorite kettle corn recipe. Next, remove the black eyes from the peeps and discard them. Remove any unpopped kernels.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter and 3 ounces of one color of peeps to a microwavable mixing bowl—microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir. If not fully melted, microwave for additional 30-second increments until melted. Stir until the butter and peeps are blended and evenly colored. Then add 3 cups of popped kettle corn into the melted Peeps and fold the popcorn until coated. Set aside. Repeat this process for all 4 colors of peeps.
  • Next, pull off chunks from each of the bowls of colored popcorn and press all of the different colors together. Using your hands, roll them into 9 - 12 multi-colored baseball-size balls.
  • Place on your favorite serving platter or in cute cupcake liners.

Notes

  • 3-ounces of peeps is about 8 bunny peeps or 12 chick peeps.
  • Pro tip: Spray your hands with a little cooking spray before you pinch and roll the popcorn balls together. The oil helps to keep the marshmallow from sticking to your hands.
  • The yield will depend on the size of the popcorn balls you make.
