Easy Valentines Cake Mix Donuts can be made with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup milk

Frosting

  • ½ cup premade vanilla frosting like prepackaged Betty Crocker frosting in a container
  • colored sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Spray a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, butter, egg, and milk until combined. Be sure not to overmix or they will become tough.
  • Fill the donut pan ⅔ full with batter. You can use a spoon or put the batter in a piping bag and pipe the batter into each donut pan.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Carefully remove the donuts from the pan when finished baking. Let them cool on a wire rack.
  • Place the frosting in a microwave safe bowl. Melt for 20-30 seconds or until it becomes liquidy.
  • Once the donuts have cooled, dip the top half of the donut into the frosting and then place back on the cooling rack. Top with sprinkles.
