Strawberry Cream Cheese
- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup strawberries, chopped
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Sandwiches
- 8 pieces white bread
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced thinly
Sandwiches
Spread the strawberry cream cheese on each slice of bread.
Top half of the slices of bread with the sliced strawberries.
Take the other slices of bread and place on top of the sliced strawberry bread to make a sandwich.
Use a serrated knife to remove the crust off the bread. Cut into finger sandwiches, squares, triangles, or use a cookie cutter to cut out a shape like a circle or heart.
Serve immediately or cover and store in the refrigerator.
- Freeze the bread. I recommend laying the bread slices on a baking sheet and freezing them for about 15-20 minutes. This helps make it easier to spread the cream cheese and also helps to get a cleaner slice.
- Soften the cream cheese. Soften the cream cheese to room temperature. It makes the cream cheese smooth and it's easier to spread.
- Slice strawberries thin. Try slicing the strawberries thin to lay on top of the cream cheese mixture.
